The Immaculata statue that was close to the heart and spiritual life of St. Thérèse of Lisieux. In fact it was this statue that was to have said to be the reason for being healed as a little girl when she was suffering from an unknown sickness. The story goes that the family statue was brought near her bedside and while the whole family was praying, the statue came alive by smiling at Thérèse, which lead to her complete healing. In her autobiography Thérèse would mention this statue and how she would pray before the Immaculata, before beginning the task of sharing her story.
